A Remarkable Talent
|
Karen Pillsworth has been enchanting audiences
in the U.S. and Canada with her stories for over 25 years.
She has performed in libraries, camps, churches, parks, schools, historic sites and at festivals. She is regularly features at
Mohonk Mountain House and has shared her stories on
WAMC National Public Radio.
Karen performs each summer throughout New York State for the library’s summer reading programs. She tailors the program to the theme each year. Some of her programs include:

In 1994, Karen was selected as a National Arts Education Fellow for her storytelling program, "There’s No Place Like Home: Stories of the Hudson Valley and Catskill Mountains." In 2002 she was appointed the
Storyteller Laureate of the city of Kingston, NY.
